Veteran's Day Gratitude

A pair of black military boots with shoe polish and brush placed on a step with yellow and black caution paint,

As we celebrate Veteran's day I want to take a moment and give thanks to all the brave men and women who have stood in the gap to serve our country. I especially want to thank their husbands, wives, parents, and children for sharing their loved ones with us during their term of service. I want them to know that our family appreciates the sacrifices they made missing births, birthdays, holidays, baptisms, weddings, and funerals as they were deployed. I want to thank my brother in love who gave over twenty five years of service to our country as an Army doctor. Thank you Ken for taking good care of our men and women both during the first gulf war and stateside. I want to thank my father in love for his service. I want to thank my nephew Tim, who will be a veteran when he's finished serving in the Navy. I want to thank the many young men and women I knew through out high school who served our country. There are too many of you to name. Some of you are still serving 30+ years later. To all our former Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, and National Guard service men and women my sincere thanks! Thank you for standing up to defend the tenants and ideals that make this country the land of free because of the brave. Thank you for standing up to protect the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Thank you for being the boots on the ground that got the job done! May the rest of your days be long. May they be full of happiness, joy, peace, and all the ideals you served to protect and defend. May the support services you deserve be provided to you promptly. Because no one deserves it more than each of you who were willing to give of yourselves to serve the United States of America. Veterans if your suffering in silence please reach out for support. We want you to have the quality of life you deserve after giving so freely of yourselves. We want you to stick around for your loved ones so your there for the births, baptisms, birthdays, holidays, and weddings still to come. Veterans Crisis Line: 800-273-8255
